Alicia Massingill
PROFESSOR
Alicia Massingill was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She has lived in Texas all of her life, most of it in the Metroplex area. She received Jesus as her savior when she was seven years old She is married to Mahlon L. Massingill, Jr., and they have two children, Trey Massingill and Laurel Bartlett. Trey and his three children Dillon, Tanner, and Maycie live in Burleson, Texas. Laurel Bartlett, her husband Scott and sons Kolby and Maddox live in Burleson. Scott is a graduate of ABC who is currently a Police Officer in Burleson. Laurel is a 2006 graduate of ABC and is currently teaching 7th grade students in Godley. Laurel is also a graduate student at Arlington Baptist College and will complete a Maste's of Educational Leadership in May of 2013. Trey is currently completing his bachelor's degree online at Arlington Baptist College.
EDUCATION
Alicia received her B. A. in English/Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington and a M. Ed. Adm. and Superintendent Certification from Tarleton State University. She is currently completing her dissertation for a PhD in Christian Education.
EXPERIENCE
Alicia has been involved in the public schools of Texas for over thirty years. She has taught middle school science and Language Arts as well as science at the high school level. She has been an Assistant Principal, a Principal, Assistant Superintendent, Chief Financial Officer, Instructional Specialist, and Superintendent of Schools. Alicia has also continued in the field of education as a Pofessor of Education at Arlington Bapitst College. She has also been an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas Dallas.
