A study of the disciplines that make up the curriculum for EC-4 grades is made. Other areas emphasized: history of the education of young children; issues in early childhood education; trends in childhood education; state and federal mandates regarding programs for young children; foundations for EC-4 learning environments such as planning curriculum based on play; partner-shipping with families, and appropriate assessment.
